The sealed urban area of Berlin is to be adapted to the changed climate conditions in the future. To this end, the urban climate is to be improved, areas are to be unsealed and rainwater is to be used or serve to recharge the groundwater. This will protect the Spree and its tributaries. The goal is to develop the city into a so-called "sponge city.
The example shows how the goal can be realized in existing buildings and under extremely difficult conditions. more >
